Suján Jawai Leopard Camp, Rajasthan

Set among granite hills, wild grasslands and winding sand riverbeds in the Jawai Dam District, Suján Jawai Leopard Camp entices with luxury tented accommodation and exciting leopard encounters.

Located just a few hours from either Jodhpur or Udaipur, Sujan Jawai feels blissfully remote. In this untrammelled corner of Rajasthan, leopards roam free and in harmony with the local villagers and charismatic Rabari tribe. Getting up close to the elusive leopard on expertly guided safaris is naturally the highlight here, but you can also partake in romantic bush walks, enchanting riding excursions and visits to nearby UNESCO sites. Other highlights include walks with the local Rajbari herdsman who are happy to share their countryside and ancient way of life.

The camp itself comprises just 10 tents, including one royal suite and one dedicated family suite. Each is bright and spacious, with sleek, monochromatic interiors and splashes of scarlet reminiscent of the vibrant colour of the Rabari turban. In your leisure hours, you can lounge by the pool or indulge in a restorative spa treatment in the privacy of your tent. Meals are served in the stylish dining tent overlooking Jawai’s hills, with ingredients plucked from the kitchen gardens and sourced from local farmers.
