Begin your tour of the ‘City of Kings’ at the Plaza de Armas, Lima’s historic centre, with its beautiful colonial buildings, stately Presidential Palace, cathedral and 17th century fountain. Continue on to Plaza San Martin, a tranquil square laid with lovely gardens and surrounded by elegant French-style buildings. At the centre of the plaza stands a statue of liberator Jose de San Martin on horseback.
