The Fish, Cotswolds

The Fish is an odd name for a hotel surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside, miles from the coast. But then, The Fish is an unusual hotel.

Until the Reformation demolished the local monastery, Benedictine monks used to keep their fish fresh in the chilly caves of a nearby hill. Today you’ll find that ‘Fish Hill’ is the setting for a rather idiosyncratic hotel. The Fish is less like a traditional hotel, and more like a collection of individual homes, ranging from guest rooms and suites that reflect chic Scandinavian design to ‘hilly huts’ tucked away in picturesque woodland. There’s even a period farmhouse welcoming up to 13 guests in complete comfort.

Whatever style of accommodation you choose, if you stay at The Fish during your luxury, tailor-made holiday in England you’ll be treated to the perfect combination of excellent facilities, an atmosphere of cosy homeliness and the freedom to roam around a 400 acre Cotswold estate.
