Rwanda Luxury Safaris

Rwanda is a small country by Africa’s standards, yet it is home to half the world’s population of endangered mountain gorillas, in addition to golden monkeys, vibrant orchids and a stunning array of birds.

To meet with a wild mountain gorilla is both an awe-inspiring and humbling event. There are only a handful of places left on our planet where you can see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, and Rwanda is among the precious few.

Dian Fossey spent thirteen remarkable years here living amongst these greatest of great apes and today, Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is the leading gorilla-trekking destination in the world. Navigating the thick jungle foliage, there is certainly an element of hard graft involved, but the chance to sit within touching distance of a mighty silverback truly transcends any other wildlife experience.

While most travel to Rwanda in the hopes of coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla, there’s so much more to this lush, green country. We can design a tailor-made itinerary that also includes the playful chimpanzees, colourful orchids and rich birdlife of Nyungwe National Park – one of the largest tracts of unspoilt rainforest on the continent. The lively capital Kigali, location of the heart-breaking Genocide Museum, also offers a dynamic restaurant scene, whilst Lake Kivu sees rural Rwanda at its most enchanting.

  • We have traveled with TUTC six times, the most recent was to New Zealand last year. The trip was very well organized as usual, with excellent accommodations and a wide variety of experiences. We had booked to go to Australia with them this year but due to Covid this was cancelled, Ultimate handled the situation very professionally and promptly refunded the whole of our deposit without any quibble.
