London - Johannesburg - Lusaka - South Luangwa National Park
Day 1: Fly from London Heathrow to Johannesburg to catch your connecting flight to Lusaka.
Day 2: South Luangwa National Park
From Lusaka you’ll fly into South Luangwa National Park where your adventure really begins, with your first night spent sleeping in an authentic tented safari camp.
Stay: Overnight at Nkwali Camp.
Day 3: You drive north with your expert guide towards the wildlife-rich Mupamadzi River and your first mobile camp. You’ll have time to relax before your first walking exploration of the surrounding bush; followed by swapping ‘first day experiences’ over sundowners around the traditional camp fire.
Day 4 – 7: You have a whole parade of wildlife – both big and minute – to watch as you walk from camp to camp. Your guide will point out the game as you go, and your camps are chosen for their easy access to known game sites. On your final day you’ll follow the river downstream, on foot, whilst your camp is moved to the next observation point.
Stay: Overnights in mobile, tented camps.
Luangwa River – Tena Tena
Today you safari by 4×4 vehicle through the bush to the crossing point of the majestic Luangwa River. You’ll be ferried over the river to continue your drive to Tena Tena.
Stay: Overnight at Tena Tena.
Lusaka - Johannesburg - London
Drive to the local airstrip and fly to Lusaka where you’ll connect with your overnight flight home via Johannesburg.
