Nairobi - Kilimanjaro - Tarangire National Park
Day 1 – 2: Fly to Nairobi where you’ll connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro. Here you’ll be met and taken by road to your camp in the fabulous Tarangire National Park
Day 3: Your guide will take you on an unforgettable game drive to watch elephants drink and socialise in great groups in the swamp area of Tarangire.
Stay: Two nights at Kuro Camp.
Today you drive, with your guide, from Tarangire to the captivating highlands of Ngorongoro. On the way you’ll need to keep your camera close to hand, as you’ll be stopping off at the beautiful Lake Manyara Park, and taking a game drive to discover the local wildlife.
At Ngorongoro Crater you’ll spend a whole day tracking the game, and enjoying a picnic lunch out in the bush.
Stay: Two nights at Plantation Lodge.
Day 6: Next you fly by scheduled airline to the world famous Serengeti National Park. You’ll be met as you land and driven to an authentic, luxury safari camp.
Day 7 – 8: In the Serengeti you’ll be confronted by the truly awesome spectacle of the wildebeest migration. Literally hundreds of thousands of these massive beasts making their way across the great African plains. Definitely not to be missed.
Stay: Three nights at Serengeti Safari Camp.
The perfect antidote to the heat, noise and excitement of the Serengeti migration. You’ll fly to the spice island of Zanzibar, with its quaintly winding streets, its Arabian-style houses and its beautiful beaches. It’s a historic place with a spice-trading history all its own, and some fascinating sights – if you can bear to leave the white sandy beaches and crystal waters.
Stay: Four nights at Ras Nungwi.
I am unable to express sufficiently my thanks and admiration for the constant care and organisation you put into this journey.- DH, Argentina, 2012
