Kings Canyon - Uluru
Early risers can experience an astonishing sunrise by taking the Rim Walk past rocks shaped like gigantic beehives, unexpected oases and the many curious features of Watarrka National Park. Alternatively, you may prefer a less strenuous expedition. Creek Bed Walk will take you through shaded canyons to view superb scenery.
Then it’s time to visit one of Australia’s greatest natural attractions – Uluru or Ayers Rock. Nothing quite prepares you for the sense of wonder you’ll feel when you first view this phenomenon, so make sure your camera is fully charged. The surrounding red earth and uncompromising bush is pretty awesome too, and the whole experience is heightened by staying in a luxurious, African safari-style tented resort perched high on a remote sand dune with unbeatable views over the countryside and astonishing sunsets and sunrises – especially breath-taking at Kata Tjuta.
Stay: Two nights in a luxurious, safari-style tent at Longitude 131˚.
You have the option to stay another night at Longitude 131˚ or be taken to Ayers Rock Airport for your return flight.
