Underground in Belize

An hour’s hike along the trails and streams of the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve; a further 2-hour crawl through underground caves with only your guide and a head torch for company (unless you count the catfish, bats and scorpions); and the skeleton of a young Mayan girl to greet you in the burial chambers at the end of it all.

Oh, and you will be submerged in water for much of it!
