Board your flight to St. John’s, where you will pick up your hire car from the airport and drive to your boutique hotel in the city’s historic downtown. You’ll have a fabulous view overlooking St. John’s harbour, and are just minutes away from historic Signal Hill and the buzzing nightlife of George Street.
Whilst here you’ll go on a fantastic puffin and whale watching tour which focuses around the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. This area is home to over 2.5 million seabirds including a staggering 300,000 pairs of Atlantic Puffins. It’s also a fantastic place to spot whales and a stunning array of rock-and-wave-carved icebergs. You’ll head back to land for a picnic at the Ferryland lighthouse.

Trinity
Today you drive to Fishers Loft Inn, tucked away on a quiet back lane in the historic town of Trinity. Founded in the early 16th century, this quaint town is filled with winding lanes and heritage houses. The renowned Skerwink Trail – a 3.5km woodland and coastal trail – is right on the inn’s doorstep, and in the surrounding area you are able to go iceberg watching, play golf and browse local craft shops.

Fogo Island
Next up is the intriguing Fogo Island, where you’ll be staying in a contemporary cabin perched on a rocky shoreline. In this remote northeast part of the Newfoundland coast, nature abounds. Jagged rocks, the mighty sea, grassy hills and placid lakes all play a part in the areas rugged beauty. And with floor to ceiling windows you’ll have a perfect view of it all.
