Havana is easily one of the Caribbean’s most charismatic cities. It’s faded grandeur, lively outdoor cafes, vintage cars and vibrant music scene ooze old school charm and nostalgia.

Founded by the Spanish in 1519, many of Havana’s old buildings have been reinvented as museums, including the former Presidential Palace which now houses the Museo de la Revolucion. A walk down the streets of Old Havana will reveal graceful boulevards, energetic bars, characterful squares and a profusion of fine colonial buildings. The architectural treasures of this 500-year old quarter earned it a UNESCO World Heritage Site designation in 1982. Whilst here, don’t miss out on a tour of the world famous Partagás Cigar factory, or a visit to the beautiful Catedral de San Cristobal.

Cruising around in a classic American car, you’ll also be able to visit the Hemingway Museum and the old haunts of 1930s gangsters – including the notorious Al Capone. Then, at sunset, you can take a stroll along the famous Malecón promenade for beautiful views across the bay.
