You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your polished hotel in an artsy neighbourhood close to the historic Zócalo square. From the National Palace to the Museum of Anthropology, pyramids of Teotihuacan and canals of Xochimilco, Mexico City and its surrounds are rich in must-see attractions.

Next on the agenda is Mérida, capital of the Yucatán state and a vision of fine colonial-era buildings, quaint streets and pretty plazas. Your tranquil hotel sits conveniently at the city’s heart, providing you with the perfect base for excursions.
Built on the foundations of the ancient Mayan city of T’ho, Mérida opens the door to a plethora of ancient and cultural treasures. You’ll take a guided city tour south to discover the magnificent ruins of Uxmal, dominated by the Pyramid of the Magician with its huge rounded walls, elaborate stucco work and detailed carvings. Later you’ll venture into the jungle to visit the archaeological site of Kabah, best known for its ‘Palace of Chaac Masks’.
The following day will take you on a full day excursion to the Celestún Biosphere Reserve where you’ll find alligators, pelicans, herons and huge colonies of pink flamingo. You’ll also have the chance to enjoy boat rides across the saltwater lagoon.

Now it’s time for some well-earned relaxation, and where better than at a sumptuous beachfront resort on the Riviera Maya. Situated just north of Playa del Carmen, you’ll find yourself enjoying wonderful seclusion whilst still being close enough to all the bars, shops and restaurants. You will have four nights at your leisure, which you can spend alternating between relaxing on the spotless beach and swimming in the glistening turquoise waters.
