Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be transferred to your eco-conscious boutique hotel right in the heart of the city. You’ll be perfectly positioned for exploring all that Rwanda’s vibrant capital has to offer, from its peaceful tree-lined streets to its wonderful eateries and boutiques. The moving Kigali Genocide Memorial will take you through the haunting events of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, and serves as a permanent memorial to those who lost their lives.

This morning you will set off with your driver and private vehicle to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a charming route that weaves through beautiful rolling hills. Set within the lush confines of a working tea planation, your luxury lodge is conveniently positioned on the edge of the park.
The largest expanse of montane rainforest on the continent, Nyungwe Forest shelters 275 species of bird and 75 different mammals, including various primates. Chimpanzee trekking with experienced guides is the highlight here, but you’ll also have the opportunity to spot black and white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys and colourful birds like the giant hornbill and great blue turaco. Otherwise, you can embark on leisurely waterfall walks, go mountain biking through the verdant rainforest and pay visits to the nearby tea factory.

Today you’ll be transferred by private vehicle into the enchanting Volcanoes National Park where an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience awaits you. Twice daily game drives with professional guides will take you through the reserve’s rolling grasslands, riverine woodland and hidden valleys in search of Africa’s most iconic wildlife. Walking safaris are also available and are a great way to experience the bush up close and personal.
In between excursions, you can indulge in a soothing wellness treatment or practise your serve on the lodge’s tennis court – all surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness.
