We are still working on final details of this tour and a full itinerary and cost will be available soon.
This is all too evident today, both in the city’s buildings and the extraordinary art collections housed in its galleries. Highlights, too numerous to mention, focus primarily on the city’s galleries and museums. These include the magnificently renovated Rijksmuseum, the Rembranthuis, the Van Gogh Museum and the Museum Van Loon, an exquisite canal-side house filled with treasures that embody Amsterdam’s ‘Golden Age’. We will explore a large part of this and also visit Delft and The Hague including a visit to the Mauritshuis. We will be accompanied throughout by guest lecturer, Douglas Skeggs, who will enhance our visit with a series of talks.
There will also be the option to attend an opera or ballet performance at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet (subject to performance schedule).
