Be Jardín Escondido by Coppola, Buenos Aires

The former home of American film director Francis Ford Coppola, Be Jardín Escondido today is a wonderful urban retreat in Buenos Aires’ trendy Palermo Soho neighbourhood.

It was here that Coppola stayed during the filming of the 2009 movie Tetro. He was so enthralled by the house and surrounding neighbourhood that he collaborated with a hotelier to convert the property into an intimate, stylish hotel with seven bedrooms, colourful terraced gardens and luxurious living spaces.

The rooms, most of which are named after members of the Coppola family, are individually decorated and comfortably appointed with plush beds and richly toned furnishings. ‘Francis’ is the largest room and features a private garden balcony, desk and king size bed. There is a small pool in the garden and, whilst there is no restaurant on-site, the hotel offers easy access to some of the city’s top eateries.
