  • Insider Tips

    March to May
"Discover Marrakech and the surrounding Berber hamlets by hot-air balloon. During the one hour flight, you will have superb panoramic views over small villages with the impressive Atlas Mountains as backdrop."

    December to May
"Head to Sian Ka’an Reserve during your time on the Mayan Riviera for a wildlife fix off the beaten track. Here you can travel on a lagoon by private boat in search of manatees. You will also be able to spot caiman along with a variety of birds. This excursion is best done with a private guide and driver as the roads are quite rough. It can be done independently too, but we recommend travelling in a 4x4."

    November to April
"In Guatemala, shop at the colourful Mayan market in Chichicastenango held every Thursday and Sunday. Then head to Casa Palopo, the most romantic hotel near the shores of Lake Atitlan to soak up the breathtaking scenery."

    May to October
"If you honeymoon in July or August, your visit will coincide with the Perahera Festival, a historical procession held annually to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha in Kandy. For the best beach weather at this time of year, head to the less developed east coast and stay at one of the fabulous new properties, such as Jungle Beach or Uga Bay.”
