Sir Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot is perched on the side of a precipitous valley with mesmerising views south towards the soaring snow-capped peaks of the High Atlas.

With superb accommodations and facilities, every minute of the 60 minute drive from Marrakech to this luxury hideaway is more than worth it.  A fairytale complex of courtyards, intricately carved walls, staircases and terraced gardens, it has just 27 beautifully decorated rooms and suites that marry traditional Moroccan design with a sophisticated, contemporary twist.

Facilities include a heated indoor pool, spa and hammam, tennis courts, a gymnasium and an outdoor pool with spectacular views of the valley below and the mountains above. The Kanoun restaurant, named after the traditional Berber bread oven and serving African, Moroccan and international cuisine, has an intimate fireside bar for pre-dinner cocktails, a stunning alfresco terrace and a rooftop with breathtaking views of the Atlas mountains.

  • Although we bothered Lydia on several occasions over small matters, she was always patient and very helpful. The whole organisation from Heathrow and back was seamless and first class. Game watching on this trip surpassed all that we had seen before in the one trip. Our thanks to Ultimate yet again
