A stunning red cedar log structure with buildings dating back to 1930, the historic Fairmont Le Château looks grand but feels cosy. It sits on 300 bucolic acres overlooking the Ottawa River in Quebec, and was originally the retreat of the Seigniory Club which hosted the likes of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco. It opened to the public in 1970, and has grown to become one of the most popular resorts in Eastern Canada.

Each room is well appointed to offer the perfect indoor spot for relaxation, but it’s the opportunity for outdoor adventure that draws most visitors to this area. Summer welcomes activities like canoeing, swimming and croquet, whilst winter allows for enchanting recreational pursuits such as snowshoeing, ice skating and snowmobiling.
