I absolutely loved my stay which included an elephant safari and a tiger encounter at the Jim Corbett National Park in India. Covering an area of 521 square kilometers bordering the foothills of the Himalayas, the Jim Corbett National Park is a land that can offer numerous unique experiences.

Through my work, I have been extremely lucky to experience the hospitality of luxurious hotels. It is difficult to name one, so I have picked two:

1. Elounda Peninsula in Crete, Greece.
Elounda is famous for the island of Spinalonga. I stayed in the presidential suite which is situated on the water front with a heated sea water pool and is exceptionally special with the direct access to the jetty and the hotel’s private sandy beach where I spent hours snorkelling.

2. Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, Switzerland.
I enjoyed the breath-taking views of the mountains from the Tschuggen’s suite. I had an unforgettable Abhyanga massage in their 5000 m2 spa which has been beautifully designed by star architect Mario Botta. Every afternoon, I took the private railway, the phenomenal Tschuggen Express, to the mountains for sunny lunches with my husband.

I took the most magnificent railway journey which leads through the Eiger mountains to Jungfraujoch, the top of Europe, which is at 3454 meters above sea level. On my way back, I was extremely lucky to take a tour of Eigergletscher, a Jungfraujoch confectionary which is Europe’s highest in altitude, for a private chocolate making session with this famous chocolatier.
