AFRICA’S GREATEST WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES
The very first safari camp to open in Zambia, Nsefu holds a prime position in one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries.
Make Nsefu a feature on your tailor-made itinerary to Zambia and you’ll discover you simply couldn’t ask for a better location. Sitting on a bend of the mighty Luangwa River, Nsefu is one of only two camps located within the Nsefu sector – an exclusive area renowned for its richness of game. There is the opportunity for day and night game drives, walking safaris and boat rides, but you don’t even have to leave camp to encounter the region’s wildlife. The bar overlooks a waterhole and offers a cosy spot from which to observe a variety of species – from lions to zebra – that frequently come down to the lagoon to drink.
The camp has a long history dating back to 1951 when it became Zambia’s first ever safari camp, and though it has since been beautifully refurbished it retains much of its original style. The six original thatch and brick rondavels today are stylish with modern amenities and uninterrupted views over the river. The dining room also boasts beautiful water views, where you can enjoy watching herds of elephants make their daily river crossings.
