Amankora Punakha Lodge

A luxurious Aman Resort property close to the mystical monastery, Punakha Dzong. Wood-burning stoves, a library with internet connection and traditionally built lodges make a very special Bhutanese experience.

The central and western valleys of Bhutan must represent some of the most untouched and remote populated environments in the world. As a visitor you take two inter-linked journeys; the first takes you across valleys of astounding beauty and through landscapes that don’t appear to have changed in centuries. The second journey is an inner one, and leads you to question the way you think; helping you arrive at a new perspective.

Amankora Punakha is part of both journeys; it includes a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse built by a Chief Abbot of Bhutan, and is reached by crossing the Mo Chhu River via a picturesque suspension bridge.
