SIMPLE YET CHARMING FRENCH-RUN HOTEL
Utterly charming with simple rooms and lovely gardens, this small French-run hotel sits at the heart of Skoura’s vast palm groves.
Originally an old mill, Les Jardins de Skoura was carefully restored by its owner and now offers five rooms and three suites. All are individually decorated in a lovely traditional style with Berber fabrics, tadelakt-lined bathrooms and a small terrace each. Suites add plush lounges with exotic kilim rugs. Meals feature refined Moroccan and Mediterranean specialties and can be enjoyed in various spots around the property – in the fragrant gardens, by the pool or in the main dining room.
Many visitors to Les Jardins de Skoura come for the peace and quiet of the place, the rural setting and the opportunity to relax and recharge. However, a number of activities are available such as trekking in the nearby Atlas Mountains, visits to ruined Kasbahs and exploring the local area by bicycle. Wherever you venture, you will almost certainly want a reviving dip in the hotel’s 12 meter pool on your return. After, you can head up to the rooftop terrace to enjoy a mint tea while drinking in views of the distant mountains and surrounding palmeraie.
